Life and the funnies

I've posted to a bunch of different places, from a bunch of diffrent sources. My top 2 services are twitter and blogger.

Now, as for the sources... I've used several mobiles, mp3 players, a very uncountable number of computers (in different countries even).. Even an msn bot. And I'm pretty sure I posted something through pen and paper at some point. Used wi-fi. Used wired and 3G. Once posted to twitter on pure old wap.

The thing is... I love talking. Even if don't say anything of interest. As anyone who has read my blog more than 3 minutes will know :P. But truth be to told, I don't do it for 'you', the people who read.

I do it because some time from now.. Maybe a couple of days, maybe a year, I will read this again. And I will remember that today was.. Well, today. And how things were. I'm not nostalgic because 'the good old days were so much better'. I do so because the "good" old days were not so "good" --they were crap! I do it because each time I remember were I came from, I make myself a little bit better.

And today, I am at a movie theatre, alone, posting through e-mail on my E71, waiting for my movie to begin. And outside, the shit is hitting the fan. But in here, I have a smile on my face, and I'm... Well, ok. :)

Love at second sight

People often ask me (haha, get the joke? I have no friends and no one
cares about me) why do I read books I've read before or see movies
I've seen before.

The reason is quite simple ack-shu-lly. As time goes on, different
meanings start popping up in movies. I know it's an unfair comparison,
but 'American Beauty' was worlds apart when watched at ages 12 and 21.

So I re-read stuff, re-watch stuff, and derive new meaning from it,
trying to make myself a better person in the process. And no. I'm not
afraid of new things. I watch new movies and read new books aswell.
Embrace change people!

Except in music. Hate new music. The best music ever has already been
made. All else is major crap. Thank you 'MacGyver Theme'.

Music & the meaning of life

For reference, my Xperia is broken and gone to repair. With it went a 500 word post. So yes, I am a little pissed at it.

---

People love music. People love music so much, in fact, that they strive to create meaning in whatever they hear.

"Oh, he's not talking about being stuck on a basement. It's a metaphor for his own head." No you dipshit, his mom actually locked him in a basement for a full weekend.

I am, however, no different. I put my own situations in music, even if they are not even closely related. But there has to be something special here, or there would be no post for me to write.

Turns out I have something that I like to call a 'special ability'. Give me any conversation, a limited amount of time, and I can answer nearly any question with lyrics from a music.

Just a side effect of knowing about 500~600 lyrics to various types of music. This does have a downside however. Recently I find myself answering every question with lyrics from any given music. This gets real annoying over time. Even to me.

This is just of the many things Sylver can do. This is just one of the many things that I wish that I could not.

Knowing the right music for the right time may seem like a nice thing. But when you realize that only actions matter, and music is just... well, music, and all you can do is spit out one liners from songs and TV series...

And now, the end is near, and so I face, the final curtain. My friends, I'll say it clear, see you later.

Loose notes regarding a rabbit

I have to painstakingly admit that my movie spree is hardly going what I can call "ok".

Besides The Rocky Horror Picture Show, which I believe I already detailed, I have only seen 2 movies in the list. Here they are, with a bonus round of 2 new movies.

//Round 1 - Memento

Let's start this off nice and easy. Memento is as straightforward as a movie can get, while at the same time being one of the most complicated available.

It is about a man with short term memory loss, who is looking for the man who killed his wife. Anything more and I'd be spoiling the movie.

The writing is excellent, and the whole thing is told in a strange chronological order. Keeping track of all the details can often be hard.

All in all, the minor details at the end make the movie very worthwhile, and I have to say it: I really love this movie.

//Round 2 - Donnie Darko

Who the hell has Darko for a last name? No wonder the damn kid is a skitzo.

So I'm being kinda evil. It's a very well thought out movie, with plenty of room for interpretation. The story moves around a mentally ill teenager, who may or may not be interpreting things, and focus on his everyday life as... well, a teenager.

It's great in it's very own way. All in all, the movie is worth seeing, maybe more than once, so you can interpret in different ways, and gain your own conclusions about life.

//Bonus Round 1 - Milk

I have a 5 word review for this one. (need the extra one, sorry)

Great Movie. Full of gay.

I mean, Sean Penn is great and all. And the script is brought entirely to life by him. But, even though I know the movie is about homosexuals, does it need so much gay? I think it's even degrading to their own culture.

And only 1 chick in the main cast! (Anna something I think). Talk about sexism.

Other than that, go see it.

//Bonus Round 2 - The Wrestler

I went to see this last night with Machiazu. And I have to quote him.

"It's a humane movie"

Being the story of a washed up wrestler, 20 years after the peak of his career, the movie has this 'reality show' thing going on for it. You can actually believe that this is a real man, with real issues, in the real world. This holds true for the first 3 quarters of the movie. In the end, you finally see how it's really movie. That's how I felt about it at least.

Don't get me wrong. Great movie. You ARE going to cry. (most likely)

Welcome back to spotlight Mr. Rourke.

And so, my amazing blog post, started in Lisbon and finished in Montijo, comes to an end. I'm not going to go into personal stuff today.

Just going to leave a random bunch of strings here. Bye now.
